SBS8030L is a Volvo B7RLE assembled by Soon Chow Corporation, a local bus and coach builder, for Volvo. This demostrator is currently deployed on service 174 and 174e. REGO: SBS8030L

SBS Transit's latest add-on comes with an environmentally friendly Euro IV engine. Each new low-floor single-deck bus is equipped with a wheelchair ramp at the rear door and able to accommodate two passengers in wheelchairs. The first of the 500 such buses with Malaysia's Gemilang bodyworks was deployed on service 100 on 01 Nov 2007. The prototype Volvo B9TL WAB (Wheelchair Accessible Bus) low floor double decker Superbus, with environmental friendly Euro 3 engine design, is the first public bus in Singapore to be equipped with wheelchair accessible ramp. The Volvo B10TL Super Olympian (VSO) bus is fitted with bodywork supplied by UK-based PSV International. The one and only of the kind first commenced revenue service in March 2005 on service 147 and 147A. REGO: SBS9889U

A total of 50 Volvo B10TL Super Olympian (VSO) buses with Australian Volgren bodywork were introduced onto Singapore's roads in year 2002. REGO: SBS9800A~SBS9849U, SBS9888Y

The first of the 12 Volvo B10LE/Volgren CNG buses was launched on 22 April 2002. These buses are the first public buses in Singapore running on CNG. REGO: SBS2988M~SBS2999G

SBS Transit operates a fleet of 20 Dennis Tridents with Duple Metsec bodyworks. Each Dennis Trident is designed to carry 132 passengers. The first Dennis Trident was put on revenue service in August 2001. REGO: SBS9671E~SBS9690A

SBS2888T is a Scania L94UB4X2 with Australian Volgren CR221L bodywork. It was first introduced to SBS (now SBS Transit) in 1999. This bus is currently deployed on SBS Transit's Express service 518. REGO: SBS2888T

SBS1688K is a Volvo B10BLE with Australian Volgren CR221L bodywork. This demostrator was first introduced to SBS (now SBS Transit) in 1997. Till to-date, it is still one of the few SBS Transit buses equipped with electronic destination display. SBS1688K is currently deployed on SBS Transit's service 163 and 163A. REGO: SBS1688K

The first Volvo B10M Articulated Bus with Duple Metsec bodywork was put on revenue service on 26 April 1996, and then the longest bus in Asia. The 19m bus can carry 146 passengers. It has 3 doors to facilitate faster boarding and alighting activities. SBS Transit used to operate a fleet of 2 articulated buses, including a Volvo B10MA-60/Duple Metsec (SBS998Y) and Mercedes O405G/Volgren CR221 (SBS999U). Both buses were last deployed on Service 18 plying between Bedok and Tampines. These buses have been sold to New Zealand. REGO: SBS0998Y~SBS0999U (All de-registered)

The Volvo B10M Mk IVs intercooled buses were introduced between 1995 and 2000. The 4th generation Volvo B10M buses were fitted either with Duple Metsec, Alexander Strider, Duple Metsec 3500 or PSV International / Soon Chow bodyworks. These buses are commonly known to local bus fans as Volvo Mark 4. SBS0997A is a 14.5 m Volvo B10 Intercooled/ Duple Metsec Superlong Bus. This demostrator can carry 110 passengers. It commenced trial service in 1995. This bus is currently deployed on SBS Transit's service 62. REGO: 0997A

471 12m Volvo Olympian (VO3X) double deckers with Walter Alexandra bodyworks were gradually introduced in 3 batches between 1994 and 1999. These 3 batches have variations in terms of front step height, front and rear door width, emergency side windows, passenger capacity and headlights. REGO: SBS9200G~SBS9670H

The 10.5m 2-axle Volvo Olympian buses joined the SBS Transit fleet in the year 1994/1995. These non-air con buses are fitted with Alexander R Type bodywork. They are the last batch of non-air con double deckers acquired by SBS Transit. REGO: SBS7198T~SBS7297R

10 Dennis Darts with Duple Metsec body works were first introduced in 1994. The 9.4m bus is designed to carry 53 passengers. REGO: SBS8009A~SBS8018Z

In 1993, Singapore's first 12m Leyland Olympian 3 axle (LO3X) aircon double deckers with Walter Alexander "R" type bodywork was built in UK. The rest of the 199 buses were assembled in Singapore. These buses were the last batch of Leyland buses built in the world as a result of Volvo's acquisition of Leyland. Each LO3X was designed to carry 123 passengers. Till-to-date, most of these 12m LO3Xs together with the Volvo Olympians (VO3Xs) are still serving the public transportation system in Singapore. They are commonly known to Singaporeans as "SUPERBUS". A total of 300 Volvo B10M Mk III with Duple Metsec (DM) bodyworks were introduced in 1992. These buses were equipped with air-conditions. REGO: SBS0582M~SBS0881A

Between 1990 and 1992, 700 Mercedes Benz O405 were introduced to the SBS Transit fleet. Of which, 500 were air-con buses. The buses were either fitted with Duple Metsec or Walter Alexander bodyworks. The fleet of Mercedes Benz O405 are now fully air-conditioned. REGO: SBS0082P~SBS0581R ; SBS3723D~SBS3922X.

A total of 200 Walter Alexander bodied Scania N113CRBs were acquired between 1988 and 1990 by SBS (now "SBS Transit"). 150 were non-aircon buses, while the rest were equipped with air-con. The non air-con buses are gradually converted to air-con buses. More recently, SBS0073R's interior and exterior was retro-fitted with new driver compartment design, ticketing machine, seats, exterior grillies etc. REGO: SBS0031L~SBS0080U ; SBS3573U~SBS3722G.

A total of 200 Volvo B10M Mk II were introduced in 1988 to 1989. Two different bodyworks, namely, Duple Metsec (DM) and Walter Alexander (WA) PS, were fitted on these buses. REGO: SBS1696L~SBS1895D (All de-registered)
